What is a cheaper alternative to Parakeet AI?
On 3 October 2026, Parakeet AI's pricing page listed 3 credits for ₹3,690, where half a credit covers one 30-minute call session, plus Unlimited passes at ₹4,980 per week and ₹9,470 per month. CrackInterviewAI is a Windows 10/11 interview assistant whose India base packs cost ₹99 for 30 minutes, ₹299 for 3 hours and ₹799 for 10 hours, with 15 free minutes for new accounts and no auto-renewal. Is Parakeet AI free, and is there a Windows download?
Parakeet AI is free only for a short test: on 3 October 2026 its site offered a 10-minute free session and a free first mock interview, with no credit card. Full-length calls need credits or an Unlimited pass. Its official site links a desktop download for Windows and macOS after sign-in; download it only from parakeet-ai.com.
If 10 minutes is not enough to judge a tool, CrackInterviewAI gives new accounts 15 free minutes on Windows 10/11, and its paid packs start at ₹99.
Credits versus a time balance
Parakeet AI prices interviews in credits: half a credit covers one 30-minute call or mock session, and credits are also used for resumes, headshots and its question bank. Larger credit bundles add free credits, which lowers the cost per session if you use them all.
CrackInterviewAI deducts the minutes you use from a prepaid time balance. At India base prices, the Standard pack gives three hours for ₹299, about ₹99.67 per hour if fully used. Plans do not auto-renew, and current offers appear in the pricing section and checkout.
When Parakeet AI may still be the better choice
Choose Parakeet AI if you need a native macOS app, want to run sessions in Chrome or on a phone browser, or interview in a language other than English or Hindi. Its unlimited weekly pass can also suit a short burst of many interviews.
CrackInterviewAI has no macOS or mobile app. It fits Windows users who want the lowest entry price, screenshot input for coding and MCQ prompts, resume-aware outlines and answers in clear English for Hinglish questions.
Run the same test on both tools
Use each free allowance on the same three prompts: a spoken technical question through your real headset and meeting app, a coding screenshot, and a question about your own project with your resume loaded. Compare transcript accuracy, the time to the first useful line and whether the answer is short enough to say aloud.
Follow the rules of each interview. Preparation and mock practice are always fair; live help in a round that prohibits it can end a candidacy with any tool.
